PRIVACY POLICY — ZODIA by OXODIAN

This policy explains how Sourav Karmakar, operating ZODIA by OXODIAN, processes information at zodia.oxodian.com.

Information and purpose

Google sign-in: verified Google account identifier, email, account display name and session information, used to authenticate your account.
Consented birth profile: full name (including surname where applicable), language, form of address, birth date, birthplace and birth-time certainty, used for calculations and interpretations.
Readings and conversations: prompts, AI responses, report history, optional ratings and feedback, used to provide the service and improve it where permitted.
Operational records: token counts, approximate API cost, error codes, rate limits, consent history and access logs, used for security, reliability and cost control.
Optional memory: when enabled and available, inferred summaries are stored separately from original birth facts and calculations.

Consent and service providers

Before confirmation, onboarding information stays in this page’s memory. After explicit consent, a secure temporary draft is stored for up to 30 minutes to preserve sign-in. Consented saved profile information remains until deletion or applicable retention requirements.

Cloudflare hosts the application and database. Google authenticates sign-in. VedAstro may receive the minimum birth date/time and city coordinates needed for supported calculations; exact-time verification may instead use our own calculation library. OpenAI receives necessary interpretation context and your chat messages to produce AI text. OpenAI API requests use store:false; this does not promise zero provider retention, since providers apply their own security and legal policies. Processing may occur outside India.

The bundled GeoNames city gazetteer is searched on your device; city searches are not sent to an external geocoding service. No GPS permission is requested. We do not sell your birth details or private conversations or use advertising trackers in this release.

When checkout is enabled, Razorpay handles payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. ZODIA stores product, amount, transaction references and verification status, not full card information. In the current release only explicitly marked owner test checkout may be configured; live payments are disabled.

Owner review and family privacy

Manual owner review of eligible private profile context, reports and chats requires an adult profile and your recorded permission. For new onboarding, one unchecked service-agreement box covers the Terms, Privacy Policy, birth-data processing, AI readings and authorized owner review of eligible chats and reports to improve quality. This review is a condition of this service agreement. Previous users’ choices are not automatically changed. You can withdraw the agreement in Account, which pauses new readings and review. Access is restricted and logged. Sensitive conversations are withheld from ordinary manual review. Revoking review consent restricts further access; re-enabling it does not automatically make previously revoked transcripts reviewable.

A family membership shares plan access only. Private birth details, readings and conversations are not shared with the organizer or other members.

Your choices and deletion

Account → Privacy choices lets you withdraw the combined service agreement (or manage earlier separate choices) and control optional memory, remove optional memories, delete saved personal information or delete your account. Withdrawing processing consent stops new generation. Deletion removes active stored birth profiles, calculations, private chats, reports and feedback; queued processing is cancelled. Irreversible deletion requires an explicit confirmation phrase.

The app does not provide a stored-birth-profile viewer, customer birth editor or downloadable birth-chart data. To raise a privacy concern or exercise a right available under applicable law, contact support@oxodian.com. We may verify account control before acting.

Aggregated or de-identified usage and financial records may remain for accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Cloudflare backups follow provider retention and may not disappear immediately after active-record deletion. Secure sign-in cookies are essential to authentication. Public static assets may be cached for installation/offline loading; private API responses and birth details are not cached by the service worker.

Adults and security

Personal readings are offered only to people aged 18 or over. We do not intentionally collect children’s birth profiles. Credentials are kept server-side, sessions use secure HTTP-only cookies, and private access requires authorization. No internet service can promise absolute security.
